BioBeverly Marsh is used to being an outsider.
After all, that's what happens when you're the girl who lives in the wrong part of town and wears ill-fitting, secondhand clothes. Or the girl who's usually sporting a bruise or two. Or the girl with an unladylike vocabulary and cigarettes rolled in the sleeves of your blouse.
Or the girl who's seen and done things no one else has, things no one else would believe.
Well. Almost no one else.
You see, a few summers ago, Bev got to know a group of boys who were as used to being outcasts as she was. A group of boys she spent the best and worst summer of her life with. Together, they learned that something was very, very wrong in their sleepy little town of Derry, Maine. And together, they did their best to stop it.
That was almost four years ago. Now, in 1963, Bev is fifteen, two members of the Loser's Club have moved away from Derry, and the town's back to being as sleepy and quiet as ever.
Only in Derry, unpleasant things have a way of turning up again...and again.
Appearance: Tall for her age, long red hair, blue-gray eyes.
